Requirement

A 1960s semi-detached property with original wiring throughout. The homeowner was selling and required a satisfactory EICR for the sale — the existing installation was too deteriorated to pass.

Scope

Full rewire of a three-bedroom semi-detached property including new consumer unit, all circuits, sockets, lighting and smoke alarms.

What we delivered

Rewire completed over two days with minimal disruption. New Hager consumer unit installed. Full EICR issued on completion — satisfactory. Property sale proceeded.

Rewire My Electrics

Troon, South Ayrshire Half day

EV Charger Installation — Troon

Requirement

A homeowner with a new electric vehicle needed a dedicated home charger installed. The property had an older consumer unit that required assessment before installation.

Scope

Consumer unit assessment, dedicated EV charger circuit, Zappi 7kW smart charger installation with solar integration capability. OZEV grant application handled.

What we delivered

Installation completed in half a day. OZEV grant applied for and approved. Customer now charging from solar panels during daylight hours.

EV Charger Installation

Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire 5 working days

Commercial EICR & Remedials — Kilmarnock

Requirement

A retail unit changing hands required a full commercial EICR before the new lease could be signed. Several C2 observations were identified that required remedial work.

Scope

Commercial EICR of a 2,000 sq ft retail unit. Remedial works including consumer unit upgrade, RCD protection improvements and earthing upgrades.

What we delivered

EICR completed and remedial works carried out within five working days. Satisfactory certificate issued. Lease signed on schedule.

Commercial Electricians

Multiple properties, Ayrshire 3 months (12 properties)

Landlord Portfolio — Ayrshire

Requirement

A portfolio landlord with 12 properties across Ayrshire needed all EICRs renewed within a three-month window. Several properties also required PAT testing and smoke alarm upgrades.

Scope

EICRs across 12 properties, PAT testing of landlord-supplied appliances, interlinked smoke and heat alarm installation where required. Tenant liaison for access.

What we delivered

All 12 EICRs completed within the required window. Remedial works carried out at three properties. All certificates issued same day. Consolidated compliance report provided.

New Build Sockets & Lighting — Prestwick

Requirement

A homeowner completing a rear extension needed additional sockets, lighting circuits and an outdoor power supply installed to match the new build work.

Scope

Six new double sockets, two new lighting circuits, outdoor weatherproof socket and consumer unit assessment. All work certified on completion.

What we delivered

Installation completed in one day. Electrical Installation Certificate issued. Customer delighted with the finish — no damage to new plasterwork.

Solar PV & Battery Storage — Ayrshire

Requirement

A homeowner wanted to reduce energy bills and carbon footprint. The property had a south-facing roof and good solar potential. The customer also had an EV and wanted to integrate charging.

Scope

4kWp solar PV system, 5kWh GivEnergy battery storage, Zappi EV charger with solar integration. Full system design, installation and commissioning.

What we delivered

System installed over two days. Customer now generating the majority of their own electricity during summer months and charging their EV from solar. Monitoring app set up and demonstrated.
